When a friend is having a hard time, food says the thing that words keep getting wrong. Pick something we made this week, tell us where it is going, and we will take it to their door.
Why people do it
For the weeks that ask too much
Nobody wants to cook in the middle of a hard week, and nobody wants to be asked what they need. A meal that turns up already made answers the question for them.
Someone is unwell, or has just come home from hospital, and standing at a stove is the last thing they have in them.
A new baby. The house is full of people holding the baby and empty of anyone who has eaten a hot meal in four days.
A death in the family. The casseroles stop after the first week, which is usually about when they are needed most.
A move, an exam season, a brutal stretch at work. Not a crisis, just a couple of weeks where dinner keeps losing.
No reason at all. Plenty of these go to people who are perfectly fine and would simply like to be thought of.
How it works

Choose the food
Have a look through the soups, the meals to go and the bone broths. Soup travels best and reheats without any skill required, which is why it is the one most people send.
Tell us where it goes
Add it to your cart, then tick Send as a gift at checkout. You give us their name and address instead of your own, and you can leave a short message for us to write on a card. If it is more complicated than that, send a note through the contact form or email inquiries@stockandsauce.ca and we will sort it out with you. Either way we confirm everything with you before anything is packed.
We deliver it
We bring it to their door anywhere in Calgary. Delivery is free on orders of $50 or more and $15 under that, and pickup at either Calgary Farmers’ Market stall is always free.

We deliver anywhere in Calgary. That is the whole delivery area, and we would rather say so here than have you find out at the end.
You do not have to be in Calgary yourself. Only the address it is going to does. If you are somewhere else entirely and want food to arrive at a door here, that is exactly what this is for.
Everything is cooked in small batches in our own kitchen, so tell us the day you would like it to land and we will tell you honestly whether we can make that work.
